Punch holes in leather belts and straps faster and more accurately with the HandyPress® Self-Centering 5-Hole Punch. This tool punches up to five holes at once, saving you time and effort. Its hinged base adjusts to fit the width of your leather strap, ensuring the holes are perfectly centered every time. A detent ball on the bottom of the base locks into a previously punched hole for easy alignment and consistent spacing when more holes are desired. The ball facilitates accurate indexing spacing. Simply remove individual punches to change the final number of holes. The hinged base fits straps from 5/8" to 2" wide.

This tool pairs well with the HandyPress® Self-Centering Buckle End Punch #127283, which punches the holes for the buckle end of belts and straps, making it easy to prepare belt ends for buckles, rivets, and keepers.

Assembly:

1. Locate the two silver positioning pins and thread them into the middle bar of the punch base (side with HandyPress logo facing up when doing this).
2. Thread the five punch tubes into the threaded holes of the separate shorter bar.

To Use:

1. With the HandyPress Workbench, Cutting Board and Round Upper Press Plate installed, place your leather strap on top of the Cutting Board.
2. Place the punch base on the leather and adjust the hinged frame to squeeze the strap firmly.
3. Insert the 5-hole punch bar onto the punch base through the two positioning pins.
4. Set the tool for appropriate compression as directed in the HandyPress guidebook.
5. Holding your leather strap in place with one hand, pull the handle down to punch through the strap.

Please Note: This tool is designed for use with the HandyPress and cannot be used with a maul or hammer. It may be compatible with other hand presses if the press plate fits between the positioning pins. Check the Dimensions tab to verify compatibility.
