The YKK® AquaGuard® #5 Black Water-Resistant Continuous Coil Zipper is a practically waterproof zipper chain with great strength and smooth operation. The polyurethane coating (shiny outer surface) increases water resistance but reduces the flexibility of this coil zipper. Because of this, AquaGuard zippers are not flexible enough to turn a tight radius and are not recommended for projects with curves. AquaGuard zippers are perfect for outdoor applications requiring moisture protection or an airtight seal.

Continuous zipper chains require at least one end to be sewn shut. They do not include a starter box or pin, top stops or zipper sliders. Top stops and sliders are sold separately. AquaGuard zippers require a reverse tab coil slider.

NOTE: A starter box and pin CANNOT be added to continuous chain. If you require a zipper that fully separates (jacket-style zipper) view our selection of separating zippers in the Finished Zippers category on our website.

NOTE: We recommend using Lenzip® sliders with Lenzip zipper chain and YKK sliders with YKK zipper chain. This chain will only work with a #5 slider for coil chain. We recommend the YKK AquaGuard #5 Reverse Tab Metal Zipper Slider (#104433) for optimal water resistance.
