Lift-The-DOT® Backplate is a strong and heavy-duty brass fastener with a black finish that can be used in cloth-to-cloth or cloth-to-surface applications. Lift-The-DOT fasteners lock on three sides and are opened by lifting the fourth side where the dot and trademark appear. This backplate secures to the bottom of the socket (sold separately). The installed socket and backplate snap onto the installed stud and washer. These fasteners are often used to secure boat covers and dodgers.
