Sew it yourself! Sacrificial Sail Sun Cover Kit 60' is designed for genoa sails that have combined leech and foot edge measurements of no more than 60' in total length. Kit contains everything needed to add a sacrificial sun cover to a furling sail. Protecting your sail with Sunbrella Marine Grade Fabric is the most popular choice for sacrificial sun covers given its unparalleled durability in sunlight and fade resistance.
The width of the sacrificial strip should span the exposed edge of the sail when rolled onto the furling unit (add 6" for sloppy furling). If the sail is not available for measurement in its furled state, the table below can be used to determine a safe width.
