For forestay wire up to 3/16" in diameter. These hanks are simple and inexpensive, but they do not have the strength nor do they provide the surety required for larger boats. Thus, they are used primarily on day sailing boats under 20'. Install by inserting a self-tapping screw (included) into two plastic "ears" that fit over and behind the luff reinforcement. Soaping the screws before installation reduces breakage. Grommets are not necessary.

To Install: Twist in place: it is simply turned sideways, pushed over the stay, and then turned upright.
