Summary

Description
The #6 eyelet is designed to be used with a 7/8" brass or 1" stainless steel ring (rings sold separately). They are used in the corners of sails to provide much stronger purchase points than spur or jiffy grommets. Typically used on sailboats from 16' to 25' long. The ring is sewn in place with waxed twine, then the eyelet is inserted into the sewn ring and rolled over using the #6 Eyelet Die Set 7/8" (#18207, sold separately) to protect the hand stitching from chafing from lines or shackles.
