A note about grommets: There are many types. Most marine applications require heavier rolled rim spur grommets. These grip the fabric, so they don’t turn in the fabric hole. They are also much heavier in construction since the metal edges are rolled under. The self-piercing style that this die set works with are lighter weight grommets without rolled edges. They are ideal for utility-type projects like flags, banners, bags, tarps, and tents.
